YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams ~Eleanor Roosevelt. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind! Do not sit still; start moving now. In the beginning, you may not go in the direction you want but as long as you are moving, you are creating alternatives and possibilities. Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else. The darkest night is often the bridge to the brightest tomorrow~Jonathan Lockwood Huie. If you have the opportunity to work on your gifts, it seems like a crime not to. I mean, it’s just weakness to quit because something becomes too hard. A bend in the road is not the end of the road… unless you fail to make the turn. You see limitations; God sees opportunities, you see faults; God sees growth, you see problems; God sees solutions, you see limitations; God sees possibilities, you see life; God sees eternity. This is a statement that we frequently share with our registered youths, so far we have over 186 registered youths who are 12 years and above old. This is made to make them vividly realize their innate God’s given potential. We; KE759 Community Development Workers passionately and zealously works for and with our registered beneficiaries. They are key annual budget decision makers under our guidance and most of events in our FCP are youth-led to nurture their talents. Their views, comments, contribution and participation are paramount. We have youths who do interlocking bricks, ball making using leather, play stations, pool tables that were given by Compassion Kenya after we won POYA (Partner Of the Year Awards) nationally twice in 2016 and 2017, computers studies, home- theatre, sub woofers etc

Youth programming is enjoyable when you listen, care, appreciate, recognize, value and give room for youths to lead. It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.
