Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others? The minute we become an integrated whole, we look through the same eyes and we see a whole different world together. There is immense power when a group of people with similar interests gets together to work toward the same goals. Our generation has the ability and the responsibility to make our ever-more connected world a more hopeful, stable and peaceful place. Every successful individual knows that his or her achievement depends on a community of persons working together. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. The purpose of life is not to be happy, but to matter to be productive, to be useful and to have it make some difference that you have lived at all.
For almost three years now A.I.C Kanzinwa Child and Youth Development Centre we have had a good rapport cum mutual existence with Equity bank Mwingi branch and sincerely speaking this partnership has been of great help to us as a church and a community! I can confidently testify that we are several developmental milestones ahead than before this ideal mutual existence was established. In last year but one, that is in 2020 Equity freely bought and supplied us with 1,000 exotic and indigenous tree seedlings to our centre for planting. In 2021 we guided a few caregivers and community members who had pupils joining respective high schools with the republic and in need of school fees to try their luck by applying for Wings to fly foundation and Elimu scholarship program via Equity, a thing they obediently did and those that both deserved and qualified were granted. We celebrate you Equity foundation and may your core business of existence be greatly achieved beyond your understanding! We have been encouraging caregivers and community members to plant as many varied tree seedlings for their planting and commercial purposes. Equity foundation has plan of planting 35 Million tree seedlings in Kenya a thing that commenced in 2018 and in December 2020 they had attained distribution of 17 Million varied tree seedlings species only to willing and potential institutions and individual farm lands. It is as a result of helping them achieve their plan we saw an opportunity that can transform and empower caregivers. We did an application to them to consider our caregivers supply tree seedlings they had to willing and potential institutions and individual farm lands, a thing Equity fortunately considered! Four caregivers from KE759 managed to supply 6,005 varied tree seedlings species both exotic and indigenous to nineteen different institutions and individual farmlands within Mumoni Sub-county and Equity bank Mwingi branch has already paid them 215,950 Kenya Shillings! This year; 2022, it is in our annual plan to incorporate more caregivers and Kanzinwa community members into massive tree planting exercise for both domestic and commercial purpose. We are targeting to raise at least 50,000 tree seedlings.
