FOOD SECURITY RELATED POLICY MAKERS IN AIC KANZINWA VICINITY

“Strategy is not a solo sport, even if you’re the CEO.” – Max McKeown. Good teams incorporate teamwork into their culture, creating the building blocks for success. Teams share the burden and divide the grief. People achieve more as a result of working with others than against them. If a team is to reach its potential, each player must be willing to subordinate his personal goals to the good of the team. A group becomes a team when each member is sure enough of himself and his contribution to praise the skills of others. “A successful team is a group of many hands and one mind.” Bill Bethel. You need to be aware of what others are doing, applaud their efforts, acknowledge their successes, and encourage them in their pursuits. When we all help one another, everybody wins. “Many hands make light work.” John Heywood. Strong and cohesive teams thrive when leaders highlight how much they all have in common, not how much he or she stands above from the crowd. Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.

We are in intense pursuit of making Kanzinwa village an epitome of success by riding off illiteracy, hunger and ensuring that all community members whether supported via AIC Kanzinwa Church or not, are spiritually nourished. The above three are cardinal Kanzinwa community needs after applying Qavah concept especially and after we analyzed and priotised needs around this area. We have put a food security committee in place that comprises of the church pastor, accountability structure members, church staffs, Frontline Church Partner caregivers, government representative; sub-county agricultural extension officer, area chief and community representative; that is from a non-sponsored family. This steering committee of experts will plan, organize, direct and control in making viable food security related policies to suit and lead this community to be self-reliant in terms of food production and security by 2023. Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest.” — Proverbs 20:4.
