AN EYE-CATCHING GRADUATION CEREMONY AT A.I.C KANZINWA ACADEMY

The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one. Those that neglects learning in their childhood and youth age, loses the past and they are dead for the future. “All of the top achievers I know are life-long learners. Looking for new skills, insights, and ideas, if they’re not learning, they’re not growing and not moving toward excellence.” Denis Waitley. Life is an open book test. Learning how to learn is your most valuable skill in the online world. The Best way to predict your future is to create it. “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.” – Margaret Mead. Education would be much more effective if its purpose was to ensure that by the time they leave school every boy and girl should know how much they do not know, and be imbued with a lifelong desire to know it. Experience is not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you.

We want the education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet. The foundation of every state is the education of its children and youths. “By education, I mean an all-round drawing of the best in child and man in body, mind and spirit.” – Mahatma Gandhi. Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another. A.I.C Kanzinwa Academy school motto is holistic development for service, whose simplest explanation is all-round drawing of the best in a child and man in body, mind and spirit as described herein above by Mahatma Gandhi. We had a colorful, blissful, thrilling, thriving and eye-catching celebration of grades 4 & 5 in our church based private primary school where all supported beneficiaries in primary school level learn. Non supported pupils are given an opportunity to learn in our institution as well. County director of education and quality assurance officers were our yesterday’s graduation ceremony chief guests. And they took their time to expound roles and importance of the new Competency Based Curriculum model to teachers, parents and all present stakeholders. Graduants were happily celebrated by giving them various gifts for motivation. Last year’s KCPE leading candidate scored 372 marks and joyfully joined Maranda High School in Kisumu County on 2nd of August 2021; he is our supported beneficiary number KE075900239. Primary-high school transition is 98% from 45% initially when our supported beneficiaries used to learn in respective public primary schools around. For holistic development to take place, cognitive development is a key pillar in Children and youths development.
