Brief history of the project
Africa Inland Church Kanzinwa is situated in Kanzinwa village, Mbarani sub-location, Katse location, Mumoni sub-country, Mwingi North constituency, Kitui County and in Kenya. African Inland Church signed their first ever partnership agreement with Compassion International Kenya to holistically release needy of neediest children and youths from poverty in Jesus Name on 8th November 2008 and officially commenced its operations in January 2009
-Capacity: 200 registered beneficiaries got supported via Child Development through Sponsorship Program (CDSP) at the start but currently known as sponsorship program.we have 371 registered beneficiaries under the integrated Program Module(IPM) that is survival,home based and sponsorship program.
-Facilities: The project had only the church and a small house that served as a community pharmacy some years back but failed to sustain itself due to poor management in place by then during official and initial commencement of child sponsorship program.
What we stand for,
Our pertinent mission as a church is to release one child or youth from poverty in Jesus Name as Christ mandated the church to do so in Mathew 28:19 at a time thus holistically develop them as everyone attains 22 years old which is our maximum termination age. For holistic development to take place, we usually major on four key areas of development, spiritual, economic, socio-emotional and physical development, whose intended outcomes are:- Demonstrating commitment to the Lordship of Christ, Exhibiting motivation and skills to become economically self-supporting, interacting with other people in a healthy and compassionate manner and choosing good health practices and is physically healthy respectively. We support our registered children and youths from 5 kilometers radius from the church in most of their actual needs that entails the four areas of development and as much as we can reach their needs but the major drawback is having limited resources at our disposal.
