PARTICIPANT NAME: Daniel Muthoka, KE07590076

Daniel Muthoka’s story is one of resilience, hard work, and the power of support. Coming from a humble background, Daniel faced many financial challenges that could have prevented him from pursuing his dreams. However, through the Compassion sponsorship program, he was given the opportunity to study Plumbing and Pipe Fitting at the Kenya Water Institute, Nairobi Campus.

During his training, Daniel gained valuable skills in pipe installation, water supply systems, drainage maintenance, and sewerage management. His studies not only equipped him with technical expertise but also instilled in him a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

As part of his practical experience, Daniel secured an attachment at Kikuyu Water and Sewerage Company, where he applied his knowledge in real-world projects. This hands-on training exposed him to modern plumbing systems and strengthened his confidence in his abilities.

Now a qualified plumber, Daniel is actively seeking employment, eager to use his skills to improve water supply and sanitation in his community. His dream is to work with reputable companies or even start his own plumbing business in the future.

Daniel is deeply grateful to Compassion and his sponsor for making his education possible. “Without their support, I wouldn’t have come this far. They gave me hope, and now I have a skill that can change my life and help others,” he shares.
