We, A.I.C Kanzinwa church cum FCP networked with Equity bank Mwingi branch via their tree planting CSR that they are supporting respective schools through a program called ‘School Miti Program’. Equity anticipates to plant 35,000,000 tree seedlings in Kenya by 2030. Equity bank Mwingi branch plans to issue and plant 23,000 tree seedlings by 31st of December 2020 and so far they have managed to plant 17,000 tree seedlings, this is in line with the Government of Kenya’s vision 2030 to achieve 10% forest cover across the country. Equity bank Mwingi branch manager and his three other colleagues humbly joined us on 10th of December 2020 to plant the 1,000 tree seedlings that they freely gave us. We stroke a deal to partner further for example in training the 15 registered groups of caregivers for empowerment purposes and selling tree seedlings to them for further distribution elsewhere etc. Equity has five core ideal services that they offer to citizens of all social and financial status in the society such as banking services, investments, brokage in Nairobi stock exchange, equity insurance and equity afya.
